Amy Kiel Photography : bio picture

My name is Amy & I love what I do. I love everything about weddings. But mostly, it's the love that I love. Love is wonderful.

I spend way too much time on Etsy. If I could, I'd buy my entire Favorites List. Right now.

I love antique shopping & then stopping at Michael's for some spray paint. Making old things new is the best.

I have 2 kitties. Samantha & Akeelah. They rule. Literally.

Summer is my favorite season and winter just plain sucks.

I love my 4x5 camera and will never sell it.

Briley, Liz & 2 Little Tikes

Family portraits are more fun in the snow. We shot with Liz her boyfriend, Briley plus his 2 hyper-active totes, Landon & Tyson on one of the few days it snowed this year. It was cold but that day was definitely the day it felt like Christmas. To start off my story about Liz and Briley, I have to say that they are just so good for each other and Briley is always glowing when he’s eyeing Liz.

Liz & Briley met at New Year’s Eve last year at our house party. That night, Liz surprised me with a gift. She bought each of us a book. Both of us had to write down 10 things to strive for in the coming year. And one of Liz’s accomplishments? “Go on a date with the first guy who asks me out.” : )

Sooo Briley asked her out! And of course, to stay true to her prior commitment, she accepted. Neither Liz and I were successful at completing all 10 of our desires, but I don’t doubt that this decision was by far one of the best she was ever ‘forced’ to make. : ) Now, one year later, they are still together and both are oh so happy. Plus, Briley has his two sons who all the more add to the happiness. Enter my favorite shots from our chilly session at The Museum of Glass…

And then as we called the shoot a wrap and our  fingers were blue and eager for some Starbucks, as we walked up the star case leading to the glass bridge, I had a great idea…

Do ya see it?!?! A plaque for all the wonderful people who made donations to the Museum of Glass have been nailed to the stairs. And though Liz, Briley, Tyson and Landon didn’t make a donation, it is pretty awesome. : )

Thanks for a great shoot Liz and Bri! Here’s to another year! Cheers!
